This Concert Left Me Fascinated And Wanting To Take An Acoustic Guitar Lesson

By Jimmy Q. Stage

The other night, I was sitting at home, not expecting much to happen. I figured I'd watch some TV, eat some potato chips, have a few beers, and call it a night. Then a couple of buddies of mine unexpectedly showed up, telling me that I absolutely had to go with. I couldn't help but agree, due to their incredible enthusiasm.

We were speeding down this windy mountain road in my friends VW Beetle. I didn't think those things could go that fast. They kept playing these guitar based rock and roll songs on the radio. I guess we were warming up for something. What I had no idea.

We finally pulled up to this deserted looking mountain cabin, in the middle of nowhere. There were maybe a couple hundred cars parked outside. We finally found a place to park, and made our way inside. What I saw was surprising, to say the least.

The inside was clean, and had several chairs set up that were facing a huge stage up in front. There was an area directly in front of stage with no chairs, so people could get up close to the stage. When we got there, there was still some space, so we pushed our way into the stage.

Then, suddenly, without warning, this band shows up on stage, and starts playing the most incredible music I've ever heard. It was a cross between modern rock and country. The lead singer, who also played the acoustic guitar, played some exceptional solos that would give Jimmy Page a run for his money. After about three hours, they decided to call it quits.

Finally, after a really long jam session, they started giving out copies of their CDs. I guess they just signed this huge recording contract, and this was there way of thanking their loyal fans. It was a night I'll never forget.
