Some Christmas Movies For The Complete Household To See!

By Angela Bishop

Christmas is coming! And, Christmas time and the actual Holiday Season is about being with family and enjoying and spending time with each other. We've come up with some recommendations for films to have on hand for the Christmas season that everyone in your house will like. These are all movies to purchase and watch every year!

My Personal First Pick - A Christmas Story (1983)

Almost all Ralphie wants in the whole world is a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. This 1940s family is hilarious. You are going to love Ralphie's irritable father, his whiny brother, and his all-American mom.

Alright, Second Choice - Elf (2003)

What could be more pleasurable for a kid to see than a six foot tall elf? Somewhere between Will Farrell's fantastic performance and the wacky concept of an Elf on the loose in NYC, this is most likely going to become a Christmas classic.

3rd Pick - It's A Wonderful Life (1946)

No list of "Must See Holiday Movies" would be complete without this James Stewart and Donna Reed Christmas classic. Enjoy this amazing story together with your children.

My 4th Option - The Santa Clause (1994)

Every kids dream is to go to the North Pole, but how many kids can say that Santa is their Dad? Watch a reluctant Tim Allen become Santa Claus. You can also follow this one up with the sequels "The Santa Clause 2" from (2002) and "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause" from 2006. "The Santa Clause 3" also introduces another winter personality, Jack Frost played by Martin Short.

5th Option - The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

Great Gonzo as Charles Dickens? How can you go wrong? This light-hearted, comic version is a perfect introduction to the classic Charles Dickens tale.

Final Selection - Christmas with the Kranks (2004)

Based upon the best selling novel "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham this movie tells the tale of exactly what can happen when a couple decides to abandon the usual holiday fun. Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis star.
