Megan Fox: An Individual Starlet Standing On Her Own

By Frank Bell

Here in a fabulous world where Lindsays, Hillarys, Kristins, and Blakes compete against one another for those best contracts, Megan Fox has made it crystal-clear that she would like to be different when compared with her film industry peers.

Every time Megan talks of her Hollywood influences, she clarifies that it's well-known that she had been empowered to be an actress by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, and admits a fascination because of the mindset with the tactic Marilyn Monroe approached a new character. Any of these references to mega-stars coming from the glory days of Old Hollywood, helps it be certain that Megan Fox is almost certainly targeting long-term durability during this career.

Her own styling may possibly be an additional key to exactly how she'd like to cultivate her image as a star. Her choice of slinky, mature evening gowns and hairstyles, is a visible reminder of celebrities that include Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake, Hedy Lamarr and Elizabeth Taylor, who all experienced prestigious careers as leading ladies.

Still, while she puts a great deal of care towards how she looks, Megan Fox isn't going to want her physical appearance to eclipse her career. A few may likely liken her to modern day pin-up girl, but in 2009, she told Maggie Bullock with Elle Magazine, "I definitely have things to say...I have a pretty incredible personality, and I am rather intelligent. Don't just write me off as a pinup."

Whilst she wants to make a name for herself based on her talent exclusively, her exotic multi-ethnic overall look, a mixture of Irish, French and Native American, reminds audiences of another exotic looking and highly outspoken actress: Angelina Jolie. The media usually takes delight in pulling comparisons involving Fox and the Academy Award nominated Jolie, whom as well seems to be put off by just being well known for her good looks.

Though, inside an October 2009 interview with Cosmopolitan, Megan did not seem flattered by way of the pressured parallels concerning her and Angelina. She said, "People see a dark-haired girl with tattoos who's in an action movie...But I have nothing in common with her." She continued to further vocalize her disdain, kidding that Angelina appeared the same as she did in the Tomb Raider films because she is "...actually a "900-year-old vampire."

Having spent quite a lot of her years as a child being grounded for several rebellious behaviors, Megan Fox even now resists authority as an adult. She admits that she dislikes being bossed around, and also told Cosmopolitan that, "As soon as you tell me to do one thing, I do the opposite."

It's also been noted that Ms. Fox is usually granted the roles of the antagonist to play opposite of the blond heroine, and may need to be cautious about being typecast as the bad girl. During a video interview with The New Your Times' Lynn Hirschberg, Megan takes it in stride, noting that a dark haired antagonist makes a fine visual contrast to a blond character.

Megan Fox in addition enjoys an amiable relationship with the media, so long as the topic of conversation is her career, rather than her private relationships. She keeps her private life under wraps in interviews, telling Elle Magazine in June 2009, "No, I don't want to comment on my personal relationship, period. It's private. It does not belong to the world."

Despite her coy relationship with the press, Megan Fox does not seem to be prepared to leave the spotlight at this time and definitely will certainly continue to surprise and entertain audiences for a long time.
